Bonds….again

Well, Bonds just hit #756 against Mike Bacsik, who will now be forever immortalized. I tried not to get to caught up in the moment, and I still feel pretty apathetic. It was neat to see him hit it, but the situation is still awkward for me. I mean, the announcers on my TV station (MASN), kept saying how “theres people out there in America who don’t approve!”, or “Hank Aaron is still the home run king to some people!” What lame to things to say.
More interesting to me is how Barry has completely overshadowed how bad that Giants team is. Hes literally been more important than whether the Giants have won or lost games. What will ESPN, a joke of a sports channel do with itself now? Where will they send Pedro Gomez? Will Barry play next season?
Let Barry have his moment tonight, and if you want to rip into him, do it tomorrow. For now, I think Barry deserves a pat on the back for being the all-time, home run king.
